He is weathered like aged leather, with wrinkles and age marks dotting his face and adding character. He has seen much in his four decades, and it shows in his baby blue eyes. He is about average height with a scar on his broad shoulders (his right shoulder) from a confrontation with his former master.
Personality- Race is an extremely patient person, which helps amplify his already impressive lightsaber skills. He is so patient in fact that he can sometimes be indecisive and distant, but his many years and dark past have granted him much wisdom, and he hides his past beneath a sunny exterior.
History- Master Bentarr has been a natural in lightsaber combat from a very early age, and as he's matured he is becoming something of an expert at fighting with a lightsaber. He managed to pass all of his trials and attain knighthood at the early age of 15. His promising career took a dark turn in its early stages as tragedy would strike him twice in his early twenties. On a routine mission when he was 22 he coincidentally ran into his father, who after Race refused to help him bully some business rivals tried to kill his own son out of shame and distaste. Bentarr tried to peacefully come to terms with his father, but in the end he was forced to kill him. Two years later on a recon mission to search for traces of his former master who had gone missing he found his master succumbed to the taint of the dark side. The man who had been like a father to him for most of his childhood had allowed himself to fall to the dark side, and was trying to turn Race. Bentarr begged and pleaded with his old master to see the light and return to the temple with him, but his master was determined to teach Bentarr his "final lesson." And thus the two crossed sabers and for the second time Bentarr was forced to kill his father. Deeply depressed, Race took a vow of silence and refused to leave the Room of a Thousand Fountains. It was only through the compassion and guidance from Master Yoda that he was able to come to terms with it and return to his duties. Once he had broken the vow of silence and left the room he was summoned to the Council's chamber and Master Yoda announced that by dealing with his demons and avoided the call of the darkside that he had proved his devotion to the light and Master Yoda put forth the motion that Bentarr be made a Master. While the Council was hesitant to agree with Yoda, they agreed to appoint him the title of Master on his 30th birthday. Having seen firsthand the permanent damage a lightsaber can do when used first, he became a vocal proponent of "Form Zero" and began to preach it to his colleagues.
At the age of 41 he took his first apprentice, Tuatara, and began to tutor him in the ways of Form Zero and began to try to give Tuatara the apprenticeship that he himself wished he could have had (What Happens, Happens)
