"Approaching the pirate ssstronghold." Sibanna called out.
"Got it on scanners, forwarding to the Heads Up Display" Rene and Sibanna were scouting out the area around the pirate's stronghold. The pirates had gone back on a deal with the Sith, and they didn't appreciate that. Sibanna and Rene were piloting Sibanna's Sith Interceptor, the Corpse Hunter, to discover any weaknessesthat the Sith could exploit.
"Wait, master. I'm picking up some strange energy readouts." A green light flashed past the cockpit. "Lasers!"
The Intercepter lurched. "We have been hit! Rene, abandon the ssship!"
"No, master, I won't leave you!"
"Do asss your massster tellsss you! You know the law of the Sith doesss not allow for an insubordinate to quessstion their massstersss."
"Yes, master."
Rene lowered the ramp. the ground was moving past at a few hundred kilometers an hour, but it wasn't too far of a fall. Of course, if he hit a rock or something at this speed, he would be pulverized. Still, he had a better chance of surviving that than if he stayed in the Hunter.
As the ground raced past, Rene steeled himself and... jumped.

This was a bad idea. Rene hit the ground and rolled in the dried grass. Checking for broken bones, Rene stood and brushed the dust out of his robes.
Rene looked up and saw the smoke line tracing a line over the next ridge. Maybe Master Sibanna escaped. Rene turned to follow the smoke cloud, took three steps and...
BOOM!

Rene clambored up the rise. It had taken him a minute, but he had decided the scavenge what he could from the ship before trying to find a way off-planet. He didn't really want to see what had becomeof his master, but he was a Sith, so he could not aford to be paraluzed by his emotions. He would feel them, feed upon them, use them. That is, after all, what set him aside from the weak little jedi.
Two hills later, his suspitions were realized. A long ditch and a smoldering hunk of metal were all that remained of the Corpse Hunter. Still, Rene looked to see what was salvagable. There wasnt much.
Everything in the ship was burned to a crisp from the friction-generated heat. The only thing that wasn't burned was his master's body. She had apparently projected a force shield to try to protect herself. Obviously, she failed.

There was almost nothing worth salvaging from the wreck. Rene had hoped to at least find his master's two-bladed lightsaber intact, but it wasn't. Since it hadn't happened to be on her person, it was not protected by her shield. Also, since she was a barabel her robes would not even come close to fitting him. The only things worth taking were her chrono and her Shikkar, the traditional glass blade of the Sith. Rene took both.
Ooc: I hope this is alright, since the chrono is not a weapon and has no value, and the Shikkar is a one-time use weapon.

Rene slipped the Shikkar into his belt. Then he started. He senced a presence outside the mangled ruins of the ship.
He ran outside, and a movement caught his eye. He turned to his right, just in time to see a figure disappear over the hill.

BOOM.
Reylan's stolen grenade had made contact. However, the young Clawdite had to keep himself concealed no matter what the circumstance. He had been assigned to demolish a pirate stronghold on the planet Lok. Apparently, this stronghold was jamming signals coming from merchant vessels. Reylan was initially reluctant to take the job, seeing as he could very well be spotted and then killed. However, his employer made a generous offer of credits, and the Clawdite spy simply couldn't refuse.
Peering over a hill lined with sandbags, Reylan assessed the damage done with his grenade. He was surprised to see that instead of hitting the stronghold's outer shield, he hit a ship, apparently an Interceptor. The vessel was absolutely demolished.
Damn. Evidently I missed... somehow. And I have no other way to take out that stronghold's shield... What's even more confusing is that I didn't even see that ship approaching...
Hearing footsteps approaching his vantage point, Reylan quickly ducked without a sound.

Rene ran up the hill, the Force augmenting his speed. He jumped over a small pile of sandbags, wondering how he had not seen them before. He heard someone behind him. Whirling, Rene ignited his lightsaber. The blood red blade cast the young looking humanoid's face in its crimson glow.

Reylan gasped. The young Clawdite was in his reptilian form, only his eyes showing through his dark cloak. A crimson blade was merely inches away from his face. Clearly, Reylan's exploiter was a Sith.
Although he was not Force-Sensitive, Reylan knew quite a bit about Sith warriors, seeing as one of his assignments was to assassinate one.
Without making a sound, the young Clawdite spy stood up. Now he knew why he was identified so easily. He wanted no harm, but apparently this Sith warrior thought different. Gathering up his confidence, Reylan explained himself, adding in a slight bow to his posture.
"My apologies. My target was the stronghold. I hit your vessel by mistake. I'll reimburse you for the damages. If there were any deaths, I'm deeply regretful. My act was a foolish mistake. Seeing as you're a Sith, I'm assuming my end is nigh..."

"Are you some kind of novice? How do you hit a ship when you're aiming at a building!? "
The humanoid cringed, but only slightly.
"Wait, you're a clawdite, aren't you?" My mission was to scout the base, but think how my rank would skyrocket if I took out the base. "Okay, I'll let you live, but we're taking down that base."

Reylan scowled. "I don't think you know how fast that ship was going. Sith Interceptors are equipped with engine silencers. Plus, the hull was camoflaged."
Reylan paused and listened to the rest of the Sith's statement. "Yes... I am a Clawdite, unfortunately. However, my identity is unimportant. All I know is that I'm your ally for the time being."
Reylan paused once again, kicking at the gravel, the veil still hiding his rough skin. "You may call me Reylan, but that's all you need to know."

"Okay, Reylan, well I suppose... Wait! I feel presences, four of them!"
Suddenly four figures showed up over the next hill, two weequays, a human, and a twi'lek.
The twi'lek, obviously the leader, pointed their way and said something. The others spun around and brought their blaster rifles to bear.
"Down!" Rene yelled and shoved Reylan behind a sandbag. He ignited his training saber just in time to block the first bolts, then dodged behind a rock out cropping.

Thanks to his remarkable reaction time, Reylan dove under the sandbags just as the first shots were fired. He did not want to attract attention, so using his rifle was out of the question. However, he had no choice.
Carefully positioning the long barrel of the gun at the edge of the sandbags, it only took Reylan a few precious seconds to focus the scope lens on one of the Twi'leks. Sighing deeply, he pulled the trigger, releasing a silenced bolt of energy out of the barrel.

One of the weequay fell, shot through the heart. Rene feld the small lapse of danger as the group focused their fire on his companion. Leaping out from behind the rocks, he locked his saber on and threw it, giving it speed and direction with the Force. It decapitated the other weequay and severed the arm of the twi'lek. Rene pulled his weapon back with the Force. On the way back, it also cut off one of the twi'lek's lekku.

Ooc: sorry Reylan, but you weren't posting.
Rene leapt up to intercept his lightsaber and ran down the hill while Reylan fired again. Reylan's bolt hit the human man and he fell.
Rene made it to the top of the hill that the enemy had been on and cut down the twi'lek. He gave Reylan an all-clear and went to check on the human. The bolt had barely missed his heart, instead taking off his left shoulder.
"Who are you, and who sent you? I assume you are one of Nym's men, we aren't anywhere near his stronghold." The man refused to answer, cowering away from Rene in terror. "Answer me!" Rene yelled and grabbed the man's wounded shoulder.

The man shouted, but still refused to talk. Rene ignited his lightsaber and held it up to the man's face, the glare making him squint. "I can cause you so much pain you will wish you were dead," Rene said, "but I have enough power to make sure you don't get your wish."
Rene tightened his grip on the man's shoulder, and he gasped. "Alright! I'll tell you!" he screamed. "Nym knew you were coming, I don't know how. He hired us to kill you so you couldn't take any information back to your masters. Please, have mercy on me!"
"Granted." Rene said, and stabbed the man with his saber.
