1000 Years after the great hero Sabel brought civilization to the continent of Sabell conflicts have reached a new high point. The oppresive hand of the Sabels Senate, unsatisfied with the power it already held, clutches at the throat of the young new king. The territories, many unsatisfied many indifferent, have started to question their right to independence.
With new lords being brought to the territories of Tian and Germenoff, the lord of Tian sits back and watches, waiting for the opinions of his people. While Germenoff's Lord is one of the fire brands starting the rebellion. Danchem, a territory used by Sabels more than any other, knows it will be called to quell the rebellion. Elodda a territory of peace, has sent help to both waiting to see who has the need of the most medical help to choose a side. Rendei, a land of pirates and bandits, would love to be its own country but it is to isolated to help. Ragachel, a desert land not wanted or watched by the senate, is a beacon of hope for the rebellion, it would help Germenoff adding its military strength if it could reach its ally territory. Yallia, a simple territory fenced in by mountains, has no knowledge of the rebellion, and if it knew the foot of Sabels is to close to the neck of the native tribes for them to do anything.
The rebellion isn't the only problem. Large orbs of darkness appear from the shadows, unleashing a mist with the power to steal a warriors soul. Each soul taken, a warrior of the same caliber appears as a shadow in the Dark Legion, an army based in an uninhabitable place in the desert. The Dark legion has the soul of the Shaman who created the curse as a strategist, and he plans to unleash his army after the rebellion and the forces of men are weak.
There are two orginazations that after Sabel died begun in secrecey. Behind the scenes they pull strings starting and stopping conflicts as they believe Sabel would have wanted them. But somewhere in time the two orginazations found out about each other, and have been recruiting warriors in order to fight eachother.
Sabels has conflicts unsolvable by those starting them. The land needs a hero. But will one come?
